Let's build a playground together in Guadalajara
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $900 for materials.
Anywhere in the world1,605 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $900.
It will serve about 336 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $900 goes:
• Materials: $710
• Permits and inspections: $85
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending strength, Arturo. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
Stay strong, Arturo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 18 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
Rooting for you. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Nuremberg.
Hope it all works out, Arturo. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Philadelphia.
Thinking of you and your family, Arturo. Shared it with a few friends. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings.
