Let's build a playground together in Galway

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $850 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $850. It will serve about 527 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $850 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $300 • Safety equipment and signage: $400 • Permits and inspections: $150 Thanks for reading all this.
