Let's build a playground together in Dwarka

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $100, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 333 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $250 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $55 • Materials: $140 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
