Let's build a playground together in Durgapur

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 477 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $410 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $85 • Tools hire and delivery: $110 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
