Let's build a playground together in Bogotá

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $250. It will serve about 259 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $250 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $80 • Permits and inspections: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $140 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
