Asaba
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Union Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400. It will serve about 491 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $400 goes: • Materials: $310 • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $45 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Paul

  • hang in there, Paul. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
