Let's build a free library and reading room together in Södertälje
A community-led a free library and reading room at Baobab Park that will serve 303 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,750.
It will serve about 303 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $300
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Materials: $2,160

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Gustav.
It's all in the list in the story. safety equipment and signage is the big one at $300, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
