Let's build a free library and reading room together in Marseille
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $1,450 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,450.
It will serve about 430 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Materials: $1,100
• Tools hire and delivery: $210
