Let's build a free library and reading room together in Augusta
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $3,350 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Acacia bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $3,350.
It will serve about 128 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,350 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $410
• Materials: $2,700
• Permits and inspections: $240
Thanks for being kind about this.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Vũ.
Sure. The biggest one is tools hire and delivery, $410. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Good question.
Best of luck, Vũ. Your post was clear and honest
