Let's build a covered market stall space together in Mumbai
A community-led a covered market stall space at Cedar Park that will serve 506 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 506 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Materials: $185
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

How is Shafiq doing now?
Good luck, Shafiq. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you
This could happen to any of us. Don't give up
Thinking of you and your family, Shafiq. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Mwanza.
