Let's build a covered market stall space together in Bengaluru
A community-led a covered market stall space at the Cedar health centre yard that will serve 390 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $100.
It will serve about 390 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $100 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $25
• Permits and inspections: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $25

Best of luck, Krishna. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 21 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Bengaluru.
