Let's build a covered market stall space together in Anaheim

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $1,150 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $630, and the remaining cost is $1,150. It will serve about 394 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,150 goes: • Permits and inspections: $220 • Tools hire and delivery: $550 • Safety equipment and signage: $380 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
