Let's build a community garden together in Tokyo
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $3,000 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,000.
It will serve about 510 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Materials: $2,500
• Permits and inspections: $190
• Safety equipment and signage: $135
• Tools hire and delivery: $175
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
