Let's build a community garden together in Thane
Volunteers in Thane are raising $400 for a community garden at the Unity health centre yard.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Unity health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 401 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $270
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $55
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
