Let's build a community garden together in San Diego
Volunteers in San Diego are raising $1,350 for a community garden at the Liberty community hall.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,350.
It will serve about 454 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $600
• Permits and inspections: $330
• Safety equipment and signage: $420

Gave what I could, wish it was more. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Lapu-Lapu.
Best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Riverside donated after I showed her your page.
