Let's build a community garden together in Riverside
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $3,250 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $1,200, and the remaining cost is $3,250.
It will serve about 506 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $100
• Materials: $2,700
• Tools hire and delivery: $450
