Let's build a community garden together in Niterói
A community-led a community garden at the Maple vacant lot that will serve 515 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $300, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 515 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Tools hire and delivery: $140
• Safety equipment and signage: $105
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending good thoughts. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out!
thinking of you and your family, Lucas. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Thinking of Niterói!
Praying for you. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
Rooting for you, Lucas. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
