Let's build a community garden together in Montréal
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $2,650 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,650.
It will serve about 184 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Materials: $2,000
• Permits and inspections: $130
• Safety equipment and signage: $360
• Tools hire and delivery: $160
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
