Let's build a community garden together in Laredo
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $1,300 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,300.
It will serve about 314 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $410
• Permits and inspections: $420
• Safety equipment and signage: $470
