Let's build a community garden together in Katowice
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $1,600 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,600.
It will serve about 532 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Materials: $1,200
• Permits and inspections: $135
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
• Tools hire and delivery: $200
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.
