Let's build a community garden together in Kampala
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $400 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $150, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 355 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $300
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $30
Thank you so much.
