Let's build a community garden together in Howrah
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $700 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 278 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $700 goes:
• Materials: $530
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
