Let's build a community garden together in Guadalupe
Volunteers in Guadalupe are raising $250 for a community garden at the old Maple bus depot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 110 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Tools hire and delivery: $100
• Safety equipment and signage: $115
