Let's build a community garden together in El Paso
A community-led a community garden at the Lotus community hall that will serve 543 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Lotus community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,350.
It will serve about 543 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,350 goes:
• Materials: $1,800
• Permits and inspections: $115
• Safety equipment and signage: $125
• Tools hire and delivery: $310
With deep gratitude,
Aaron
