Let's build a community garden together in Dodoma

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $650. It will serve about 484 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $650 goes: • Materials: $500 • Permits and inspections: $40 • Safety equipment and signage: $60 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 I hope life is good to you.
