Let's build a community garden together in Bengaluru
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $350 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 461 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $270
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $45

Hope it all works out. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up. Greetings from Porto Alegre.

Hope it all works out, Ananya. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Mumbai
