Let's build a community garden together in Adama
A community-led a community garden at Unity Park that will serve 437 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 437 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Materials: $210
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Put this on a community board in Victoria this morning. Greetings from Victoria!
