Let's build a community fridge together in Syracuse
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $2,750 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Acacia bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,750.
It will serve about 163 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,750 goes:
• Materials: $2,100
• Permits and inspections: $175
• Safety equipment and signage: $280
• Tools hire and delivery: $195
