Let's build a community fridge together in Parramatta
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $2,850 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $730, and the remaining cost is $2,850.
It will serve about 182 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,850 goes:
• Materials: $1,600
• Permits and inspections: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $480
• Tools hire and delivery: $500
