Let's build a community fridge together in Paarl
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $650 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 565 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $360
• Permits and inspections: $90
• Safety equipment and signage: $95
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
