A community-led a community fridge at the old Sycamore bus depot that will serve 533 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 533 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $300
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
Thanks for reading all this.
