Let's build a community fridge together in Negombo
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $450 for materials.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 340 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $280
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $85
