Let's build a community fridge together in Memphis
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $3,650 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $550, and the remaining cost is $3,650.
It will serve about 595 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,650 goes:
• Materials: $2,900
• Permits and inspections: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $380
