Let's build a community fridge together in Manukau
Volunteers in Manukau are raising $1,750 for a community fridge at the Acacia community hall.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,750.
It will serve about 481 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,750 goes:
• Materials: $730
• Permits and inspections: $360
• Safety equipment and signage: $165
• Tools hire and delivery: $495
