Let's build a community fridge together in Heliopolis
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $500 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $85, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 448 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $500 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Materials: $390
• Tools hire and delivery: $75
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. permits and inspections is the biggest at $35. Fair thing to want to know.
