Let's build a community fridge together in Embakasi
A community-led a community fridge at the Cedar community hall that will serve 319 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $600.
It will serve about 319 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $600 goes:
β’ Materials: $460
β’ Permits and inspections: $55
β’ Safety equipment and signage: $30
β’ Tools hire and delivery: $55
Every share and every dollar helps.
