Let's build a community fridge together in Berlin
Volunteers in Berlin are raising $1,650 for a community fridge at the Union health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,650.
It will serve about 565 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Materials: $920
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $110
• Tools hire and delivery: $330
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Sending strength. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Love from Mbale.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Gamze.
Sure. The biggest one is materials, $920. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
Rooting for you, Gamze. Your post was clear and honest. It's not much but it's yours. God bless.
so sorry you're going through this, Gamze. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Please keep us posted.
More neighborhoods should do this. Don't give up. Greetings from Lahore
Wishing you peace, Gamze. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
