Let's build a community fridge together in Bekasi

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $150. It will serve about 525 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $150 goes: • Permits and inspections: $45 • Safety equipment and signage: $30 • Tools hire and delivery: $75 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Lukman
