Let's build a community fridge together in Auckland
Volunteers in Auckland are raising $700 for a community fridge at Maple Primary School.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $950, and the remaining cost is $700.
It will serve about 441 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $700 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $155
• Permits and inspections: $210
• Safety equipment and signage: $335
Glad we found this place.
