Let's build a community fridge together in Athens
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $900 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $900.
It will serve about 84 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

Sure. The biggest one is permits and inspections, $145. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
