Leonardo's thyroid cancer treatment fund
Leonardo is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Leonardo was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in December. The oncology team at Fresno University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in March. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Leonardo is 31, worked as a farmer until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Fresno University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $11,900 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,000
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,500
• Scans and lab work: $1,850
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $550

What exactly is the $11,900 for?
Chemotherapy and medication not covered is $8,000 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Happy to explain more.
