Lapu-Lapu
Leo was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in November. The surgeon at Lapu-Lapu Orthopedic Institute recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for February. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,600, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,200 short. my father has been in and out of Lapu-Lapu Orthopedic Institute since November. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,600 is more than we can find. While we wait, Leo struggles with daily life and can't drive. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Leo won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $1,200 goes: • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $390 • Hospital stay (2 nights): $530 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $90 • Post-operative medication: $60 • Physiotherapy sessions: $60 • Travel and lodging for the family: $70 Thanks for being kind about this.
