Leo needs a cold-storage unit to reopen a small grocery stall

Leo has run a small grocery stall for nine years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $2,700 will put it back on its feet.

For nine years I have run a small grocery stall in Phoenix. In January, a break-in took a cold-storage unit. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $2,700 goes: • Replacing a cold-storage unit: $1,450 • Initial stock: fresh produce: $320 • Shop repairs and licensing: $290 • Working capital for the first month: $640 Glad we found this place. - Leo

So sorry you're going through this, Leo. I hope things turn around soon. After 12 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Bergamo.
