Stockholm
Lennart was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May. The oncology team at the Stockholm Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Lennart is 32, worked as a nurse until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Stockholm Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $11,900 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,250 • Scans and lab work: $1,150 • Transport to the Stockholm Oncology Institute: $480 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $600 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,420 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Alma

  • Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Lennart

Sure. The biggest one is chemotherapy and medication not covered, $8,250. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
