Leni was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Saint Anne Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $9,250, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $7,350 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Anne Hospital since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $9,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Leni struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
