Leni was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in August. The surgeon at Hannover Community Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,000, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $4,850 short.

While we wait, Leni struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
