Leah was diagnosed with stomach cancer in January. The oncology team at Scranton Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in March. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Leah is 49, worked as a bus conductor until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Scranton Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $9,300 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,500 • Scans and lab work: $1,200 • Transport to Scranton Regional Medical Center: $580 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $470 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,550 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - James

It's all in the list in the story. chemotherapy and medication not covered is the big one at $4,500, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Ask me anything else.

    • Good luck, James. I hope things turn around soon. It's not much but it's yours. Blessings
