Lệ received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
A divorce left Lệ short on rent for 4 months; help us stay in our home.

When the textile factory closed in July, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Sunday a termination letter was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $500.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by October, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $500 goes:
• Late fees and court costs: $30
• First month of rent as a buffer: $165
• Rent arrears (4 months): $305
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Stay strong, Lệ. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Love from New Delhi.
Sending good thoughts. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Nha Trang.
Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Thinking of Nha Trang.
Thinking of you and your family, Lệ. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Mysuru.
