Laxman's gallbladder removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After osteoarthritis in the right knee, Laxman was cleared for gallbladder removal, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Laxman was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in August. The surgeon at Saint Catherine Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $810, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $650 short.
my son has been in and out of Saint Catherine Hospital since August. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $810 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Laxman struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Laxman won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $650 goes:
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $230
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $370
• Travel and lodging for the family: $50
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Laxman?
Wishing you peace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Chennai donated after I showed her your page. All the best
how is Laxman doing now?
Take care, Sushila. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
Hang in there, Sushila. Get well soon. Thinking of Kathmandu.
hope the doctors have good news. After 27 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Good luck, Sushila. Shared it with a few friends. It's not much but it's yours
