Lavanya was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May. The oncology team at Mumbai Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Lavanya is 33, worked as a construction supervisor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mumbai Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,400 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $360 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $910 • Scans and lab work: $130 Thanks for reading all this.
